The team behind SinoSource
Most European importers get two choices for buying from China: a commission agent whose incentives don't line up with theirs, or going it alone on Alibaba. We built the third one, the service we wish we'd had.
Leo started SinoSource from a conviction that the future of global business will belong to those who connect markets more intelligently, more transparently, and with greater trust. China is one of the most important industrial forces in the world, yet for many international businesses, working with Chinese suppliers still feels fragmented and unnecessarily difficult.
Swedish-born, currently based in Chengdu studying Mandarin while running SinoSource on the ground. He began building online communities at 14 and by 15 was earning his own income rather than relying on his parents, gaining an early foundation in team management, human psychology, and client retention that shapes how SinoSource operates today.
What drives Leo is the belief that technology can dramatically improve how sourcing is done, but that trust and real understanding will always remain at the centre of successful international business. SinoSource is built around exactly that belief: AI-enabled efficiency paired with the kind of human judgement that only comes from having been on the ground.
European SMEs shouldn't need a Shanghai office or a €200k/year trade lawyer to source safely from China. We built one complete supplier decision report: specific to the buyer, commercially useful, and filtered for the EU risks that actually apply to the product. Ongoing monitoring and the source-linked News Tracker keep that baseline current as regulations, trade conditions, and supply-chain context change. No agency bloat. No Alibaba lottery. No surprises at the port.
This is not a short-term play. We are building for the long term, because the businesses we work with are building for the long term. Every report we write, every supplier we vet, and every compliance flag we raise is a step toward a more transparent and accessible global trade ecosystem. For Leo, SinoSource is a long-term mission to strengthen the connection between China and the world through better decisions and better business relationships.
Leo: Swedish and English native, Italian and Spanish fluent, studying Chinese in Chengdu, boots on the ground where the factories and our clients are.
Currently pursuing the MBA programme at Fudan School of Management in Shanghai, building on two bachelor’s degrees in business management. The academic grounding behind SinoSource's research methodology.
Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Spain, China. First-hand experience navigating different business cultures, from European academia to Chengdu on the ground, that pure desk researchers simply don't have.
Leo lives in Chengdu, actively studying Mandarin and engaging directly with China's manufacturing ecosystem. Our research comes from being there, not from reading trade publications.
GPSR, PPWR, CBAM, REACH, CE marking, EUDR, Forced Labour Regulation. We track every regulation that affects what you import.
SinoSource is a decision filter, not a legal certification. Every report carries a clear disclaimer. We tell you what we know and what to verify externally.
SinoSource Ltd is incorporated under the UK Companies Act 2006 and registered with Companies House. A formal legal entity gives our clients a contracting party, a public filing record, and a regulatory audit trail, the credibility B2B procurement teams require.
The first five Essential clients receive the complete supplier decision report at the €199 founding activation price. In return, we ask for candid feedback on which findings actually changed the buying process.
Essential is month-to-month after activation. We confirm report timing after reviewing the scope and available evidence.
